In midst of the storm: 500 Chabad emissaries gathered

Outside the storm raged, but 500 Chabad emissaries from all over the country, who gathered at the Nir Etzion hotel, on the slopes of Mount Carmel, were engaged in storm activity of spreading the light of Judaism and Chassidus.


Throughout the year they are scattered all over the country, from Metula to Eilat, from Nofim to Lehavim. For three days this week all the agents who operate the 294 Chabad Houses in Israel, gathered for the conference which is full of holiness and positive action and strengthening.

The conference is organized by Agudath Chabad, and there were dozens of sessions, workshops and conferences diverse, comprising almost every imaginable topic. New initiatives were launched, and discussed ways how to reach out to more and more Jews.

Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Aharonov, Chairman of Agudath Chabad says that it is a pretty sight to see the young and energetic emissaries who join the mission factory of the Lubavitcher Rebbe every year. "We have a young wonderful generation, devoted with all their heart and soul to spreading the light of Judaism and Chassidus, even in the most remote locations, and these young people are making great strides," he says.
