President of Krayot 'Maor Chaim' • Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Ernster zt"l

Rabbi Moshe Ernster passed away this morning in Jerusalem at the age of 88 • President of Krayot Maor Chaim in Israel, and a son in law of the Rebbe, the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz zt"l

Baruch Dayan Haemes: This morning, at the Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem, Hagaon Hatzaddik Rabbi Moshe Ernster zt"l, passed away at the age of 88. He was the President of Krayot Maor Chaim in Israel, and son in law of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz zt"l.

During the past few years he became weak and was hospitalized in hospital, and today at 5:30 am he returned his soul to its creator.

He was born in Romania on 24th Tishrei תרפ "ה to his father Harav Chaim z" l and his mother Mrs Gittel a"h.

He married his wife the daughter of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz zt"l, and he was the brother in law of the Rebbes the Yeshuot Moshe zt"l and the Vizhnitz-Monsey and the first Rebbes of the Vizhnitz dynasty.

Hgr"m zt"l lived in Maor Chaim, in the Sanhedria neighborhood of Jerusalem, which he established together with other Maor CHaim communities in Israel.

He loved his fellow Jewish brothers, was a modest man and very humble, and pure and righteous. He was the mechutan of many great Rebbes.

The last wedding in which he participated was the wedding of his great granddaughter, a granddaughter to his son in law the Medzkov Rebbe which took place 6 weeks ago in Rechovot.

His wife, Rebbetzin Batsheva Bracha Ernster a"h passed away 4 years ago.

He left a beautiful generation after him: Hgr"m Ernster-Rosh Yeshiva of Vizhnitz yeshiva, Hgr"z Ernster the Maor Chaim Rav in Sanhedria, Hgr"a Ernster Maor Chaim Rav in Tzefat and Hgr"y from Borough Park. His only son in law is the Rebbe of Medzkov-and hundreds of descendants.

His funeral will leave today (Tuesday) at 14:30 from the Maor Chaim Beis Medrash in the Sanhedria neighborhood of Jerusalem, and at 18:00 from the Ahavas Yisrael Beis Medrash in Kiryat Vizhnitz Bnei Brak, towards the Beis Vizhnitz plot in the Zichron Meir cemetery-where he will be laid to rest.
