At the customs of Ben Gurion Airport at noon today the smuggling 30 iPhones 5 worth 150,000 shekels was denied by passenger returning on a flight from New York.
The passenger, a resident of Bnei Brak, passed through green and aroused the curiosity of testers at the customs. He was taken for testing using the GMM device.
During the Xray it was revealed that under his garments was hidden a vest with packages. In search conducted on the passenger was found that on his body lies a special vest with cells, in which were hidden 30 iPhones 5, which were with no packaging.
He admitted that he tried to smuggle the iPhone 5 devices.
He said he owns a toy store and was going to sell the smuggled devices in his shop. The suspect added that his sister in law sewed his special vest with the cells from tzitis fabric.
