Whoever thought the wheels of justice in the U.S. are determined to fight terrorism, will be disappointed.
Pakistani intelligence chiefs are suspected with the assistance of planners of the attack at the Chabad House in Mumbai, India where the couple Gabi and Rivka Holtzberg hy"d, and their guests were murdered. But the U.S. Federal Court decided that they can not be prosecuted for reasons of 'judicial immunity'.
The story began when the family members of the victims filed a lawsuit to prosecute the Pakistani intelligence chiefs suspected of aiding the Pakistani- Aslamist terrorist organization "Leshkhar e-Taiba" which is related to the organization of "Al - Qaeda."
The attack had caused tension at the time between India and Pakistan, because of an estimation that the terrorists came from Pakistan and practiced there. Several days after the attack, India filed to Pakistan a list of 20 people suspected of involvement in the attack, and demanded their extradition.
It turned out that Pakistani intelligence leaders were part of the attack because of their desire to undermine India's security situation.
The Head of the Pakistani intelligence services said immediately after the attack in Mumbai, that he will visit the capital of India New Delhi, to coordinate the fight against terrorism together with his Indian colleagues, but retracted his decision.
But the Americans, who are well known in their relationships with their Pakistani counterparts, seek to cover up for them.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has received U.S. aid packages totaling 158 billion dollars so far. When the country was asked to submit its arguments to the claim, the attorney to the Department of Justice, explained that the ones in question can not be prosecuted, despite the evidence and findings, since they have the Americans as their allies.
