HaGaon Auerbach underwent complicated cardiac catheterization in Hadassah Ein Kerem

Rosh Yeshivas Maalot Hatorah, HaGaon Auerbach, underwent today heart catheterization at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, Jerusalem. The treatment, according to students, was successfully completed.


Journalist Eliyahu Eliovic spoke to Etti Dvir, spokeswoman at Hadassah, and Prof. Chaim Lotan, director of cardiology at Hadassah. Dvir said: "We confirm that Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach is hospitalized at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital." Prof. Lotan added: "The Rabbi went through a complex catheterization this morning. At this point the Rabbi is recovering and is under observation. His condition is good."


Rabbi Benjamin Fisher, chairman of Magen Lachole, said at noon: "During routine testing last week it was decided that the Rosh Yeshiva will go through a catheterization, and this morning he went through the planned cardiac catheterization and thank G-d everything passed successfully, doctors and the operating doctor are satisfied, the procedure passed successfully Baruch Hashem, and in the coming days he could return gradually to his lifestyle and normal route and return home. We hope we can announce only good news."

Associates explain that during the last six months HaGaon Auerbach declined a number of medical tests he had to do, but last week he felt that something is wrong - and came twice to perform the tests at the hospital.
According to sources, he is expected to be released to his home in the coming days.


During tests it was revealed that indeed essential treatment is needed, which HaGaon Auerbach passed today - successfully.
