A hareidi man who lives in Boro Park, Brooklyn, was bitten last night by a Rottweiler dog in Connecticut.
The dog bit the leg of the avreich – who was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.
The incident occurred yesterday in the early evening in Connecticut, when the man came to the apartment building he owns in order to collect rent from the tenants. While knocking on the door of a tenant, the door opened and a Rottweiler dog attacked the man and bit him on his right leg. He began screaming in pain.
The owner tried to take control of the dog which went wild. Other residents called the police and veterinary police, whose job is to treat animals, as well as a local ambulance.
The police detained the owner for questioning. The dog was captured and sent to the veterinary institute for inspection.
The hareidi man was rushed to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery to repair the tendon rupture created by the bite of the dog.
