Vizhnitz Rebbe in a letter: "I will remember you favorably"

The Vizhnitz Rebbe wrote yesterday (Sunday) a letter to all the yeshiva students of Vizhnitz, in honor of the Shvbby"m (6 parsha) days, and for the first yartzeit of his father, the Baal Yeshuot of Vizhnitz zt"l.

As we approach the end of the year, the year since the Rebbe zt"l passed away.

And the Kadmonim have already said: "The day of a person's death is a great honor for him, and every year talmidei chachamim gather around. Therefore I call out to my students, holy yeshiva students, to prepare for these days, by going in his ways, and learn L'Iluei nishmaso, wake up and light the fire of Torah.

It is known about the importance of learning in continuity, and therefore I ask of all my students to strengthen and stand as soldiers and learn continuously in the morning and in the afternoon, especially with the coming of the Shvbby"m (6 parsha) days, days which are able to cleanse the soul by learning Torah continuously, and in these days one most learn Shas, because to remove the evil inclination is by learning deeply.

I ask of you to get used to this and may it be for the preparation for the yarzeit, and it will surely be for the elevation of his pure soul, when he wrote in his holy letter: surely you know my dear students that all I want is that you grow in Torah and therefore I ask of you to learn out of love, peach and friendship as it says: Torah is only bought in groups" and then it will be good for you all your lives."

I also ask, since the Rebbe zt"l would learn more during these days and prepare for davening, and learn by heart the words of Torah, therefore I ask of you my dear students not to speak during tefilla, and prepare properly for tefilla, and may your tefillas be accepted above.


I look forward to hearing only good from you, and I would like to receive a note reckoning the hours of learning that you learned in a row, L'ilui nishmas the Rebbe zt"l, and I will remember you favorably, and surely the Rebbe zt"l will beg for you above.

The Vizhnitz chassidus are preparing for the first yarzeit and on the Shabbos of the yartzeit 20th Adar a conference will be held on Motzei Shabbos in Kiryat Vizhnitz.
