"Lipa goes to college" - this is not the name of a new song by singer Lipa Schmeltzer. This is a new reality.


Lipa, who had not really received an education as a youngster, begins in a few days the second semester at his college. Schmelzer decided to complete his studies and upgrade his education in acting, psychology and music - and he started college in Rockland.


In an interview with a U.S. website Lipa said, that already two years ago he wanted to complete his education, when he passed the college on his way home.

"I called them and asked how I can start learning. They said I need a certificate of high school. I called the Yeshiva in New Square, where I learned, and I asked the secretary to get me an approval that I learned at the yeshiva, where it became clear to me that it was an equivalent to the certificate of high school. I came to the college - and I realized I have a lot of learning to complete and registration examinations. I took private tutors, and after efforts I successfully passed the exams and was accepted."


Nidion Lonarn, Lipa's school friend, says: "Lipa is an active and energetic student, and everyone here respects his decision to start advanced learning at the age of 34."
