The assertive words of the Vizhnitz Rebbe during Seuda Shlishit last week not to appear in the centers of the IDF - sparked a storm.
This week, after Seuda Shlishit, the Rebbe repeated and said that there was no change in the instructions given last week and whilst it is not proven that there are true changes the order not to report still stands.
Last week, the Rebbe said: "These days, we are commanded to 'Turn away from evil and do good'," Turn away from evil: There is a raging fire in the form of yeshiva students to the recruitment centers, I heard terrible things about what happens there.
Due to the 'terrible things' on which the Rebbe did not elaborate, the Rebbe ordered and added: "I order all the Vizhnitz advocates, and ask all fearful to G-d not to stand there, G-d forbid. If they come to take you with iron chains, say the Vizhnitz Rebbe does not allow going to such a place and letting them take me to jail ".
Following the words of the Rebbe it was agreed with the heads of the IDF Personnel Directorate that invasive tests will be carried out by a civil surgeon, and their findings will be acceptable in the centers. It was also agreed that the female soldiers will not carry out the interviews with the attendees.
In light of the developments, the Rebbe came to visit Hgray"l Steinman on Monday, to coordinate with him the guidelines for yeshiva students. Hgray"l said during the meeting that we must now follow that the agreements with military leaders get on the ground, and the army will strictly follow the new guidelines, as agreed.
It was also decided that if the army will keep the agreements, not as what befell the agreements from December 4 – which were crudely broken, then the Vizhnitz Rebbe and Hgray"l Steinman will publish a letter with detailed opinions on the subject, and will be joined by all Gedolei Yisrael from all circles.
