Daughter-in-law of Rebbe seriously injured by bus

A woman of about 45, daughter-in-law of Rebbe from Jerusalem, crossed Esras Torah street in Jerusalem not on a crosswalk - and suffered a severe head injury by a bus

A serious road accident on Esras Torah street in Jerusalem yesterday : a 45 year old pedestrial, the daughter-in-law of the Rebbe of Stropakov, who crossed the Esras Torah street not on a crosswalk, was hit hard in her head by a passing bus.

Volunteer medics of Ichud Hatzala gave her initial medical treatment, after which she was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in the capital in serious condition,

Dvir Adani, Ichud Hatzala paramedic, who arrived on the scene, said: "When I got to the scene I saw an unconscious pedestrian, who was hit by a bus. The pedestrian was severely injured in her head. I myself and other paramedics gave her primary health care, and she was taken in serious condition in an Intensive Care Unit".

Eti Dvir, spokeswoman for the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem reported on Friday morning to Behadrey Haredim that the woman suffered head injuries and was hospitalized when her condition is moderate and stable, and will remain for further treatment in the coming days in the hospital.

The testimony of passersby indicates that the pedestrian crossed the road not at the crosswalk.

Traffic Examiners of the Jerusalem Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

Her name for prayer: Rebbetzin Esther bas Chaya Sarah, for Refuah Shleima.
