Dwek case: a year in prison for Rabbi Lobel Schwartz

Federal Court in Trenton, New Jersey on Thursday sentenced Rabbi Lobel Schwartz to 12 months in prison for – one of the victims of Shlomo Dwek in the 'Deal' case.
Schwartz, 61, a resident of Brooklyn, is the last of the five rabbis to receive his sentence who Shlomo Dwek threw into the money laundering network.
Solomon Dwek, who incriminated many members of the community in New Jersey, gave Schwartz and Mordechai Schiff checks, to deposit into accounts of gamachim he headed, for a deduction of ten percent - that how Dwek money laundered.
In the court trial, he admitted conspiracy to money laundering offenses considered particularly severe in the U.S., along with Rabbi Mordechai Fish.
Fish, who was also arrested, was sentenced last summer to nearly four years in prison following his admission of guilt.
