"I did not feel like a hero, the award is for the whole troop"

Today (Tuesday) a medals and certificates presentation ceremony took place of appreciation to commanders and fighters, who acted bravely and heroically in foiling the terror attack in Kerem Shalom last August and thwarted the attack on the Israel – Egypt border last September.


The ceremony was attended at the headquarters of the Gaza Division Commander of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Tal Russo, commander of the Gaza Division, Brigadier - General Mickey Edelstein, Commander Red, and sub - General Nadav Padan, command headquarters and families.

Commander of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Tal Russo, said that "the challenges and trials we face are stronger, the task of protecting the Negev - southern border of the State of Israel and residents of the South, is on us and we are ready and prepared for any scenario at any time.
