Fight between youngsters in Elad deteriorated to serious violence: during the afternoon (Shabbos), youngsters fought and a drop out youth hit a number of avreichim.
One beaten man was taken to the Beilinson hospital in Petach Tikva. After Shabbos a complaint was filed at the police station in Rosh Haayin.
During Shabbos afternoon - according to testimony members of the Beit Medrash belonging to Lelov Chassidus located on Yonatan Ben Uziel – a youth came to the shul and between him and another youngster a fight developed.
The father of one of the boys, gabbai of the shul tried to intervene - and was beaten. "He tore the sleeve of his garment," said one of the men to B'Chadrei Charedim. "Avreichim who tried to intervene were also beaten. He punched the face of one avrech, pulled his beard and broke his glasses."
Immediately after the youngster escaped and ran away.
10 minutes later, the youngster came to the shul area. "He returned," recalls Asher Moskowitz, the gabbai of the Chasidic Sanz shul, "and began verbal attack against those at the shul, picking up large stones and threatened to throw them in the direction of some of the children who were in the square outside the synagogue."
He said after a few minutes, a neighbor of the boy pulled him away.
Avreichim consulted with one of the rabbis of communities, whether they can call the police in middle of Shabbos. The Rabbi answered that they may do so through a Shabbos goy. But they said, "The police never came."
One avrech who suffered beatings was not feeling well and was taken, as mentioned, to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.
Shul members said that in the past the youngster was involved in more violent cases and arrested - by the police, but was released. In this case, immediately after Shabbos, avreichim came to the police station in Rosh Haayin, to file a complaint.
Those involved, including the boy, were interrogated on Motzei Shabbos.
Superintendent Ronen Saban, Elad police station chief, told B'Chadrei Charedim that police received a call about the attack. Police who arrived at the scene were also attacked by the suspect, and he was arrested.
The suspect arrested, is known to the police in the past, and the police intend to indict him.
