• On the road between Kfar Qara near the Iron intersection an accident occurred on Friday night, two people were seriously injured after a collision at the safety rail, firefighters rescued the victims, an MDA Helicopter evacuated casualties to the hospital.
• On Friday night a 70 year old resident of Haifa passed away in the Rambam hospital after being run over on Thursday afternoon by a truck. The elderly woman was hit as she crossed Rothschild Street, in Kiryat Eliezer, not on a crosswalk.
• On 19 Hayarkon Street in Bnei Brak a pit was opened on Friday night.
The pit was opened at the Lod Route 40 interchange to the north and traffic division officers blocked the road.
• At the corner of the Haneviim and Komemyut Streets in Bat Yam an accident occurred between two Egged buses. One of the drivers was seriously wounded and evacuated by MDA team for further medical treatment at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
• On Yoseftal street in Ashkelon an 18 year old youngster was stabbed, the MDA team evacuated him in serious condition and fully conscious to Barzilai Hospital in the city. The suspect fled the scene. Police are investigating the background to the incident.
• On Friday night a youngster was shot in Taibeh on the background of struggles between gangs, and was seriously wounded. A bystander, who was caught into the shooting, was seriously wounded. The two, aged 22 were evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. The police opened an investigation.
• In enforcement activities over the weekend by the traffic department units, located 48 drunk drivers, 31 vehicles have been disabled, 46 disqualified and 14 prohibited for use. In the National Traffic Police Unit Sharon's traffic division 4 (forward to the North) a vehicle was delayed for inspection. 21.5-year-old car driver from Tel Mond, ascertained that on 25/03/12 was sentenced to traffic court for drunk driving and the decision of a judge was to disqualify for 25 months with a suspended sentence of three months jail for three years. In testing was sampled and found driving drunk. During hearing on site by a traffic officer she said "I never thought it would come to such proportions of prison." Her license was disqualified, her car disabled and towed and she was arrested and incarcerated. She will be brought before a judge after Shabbos for quick and severe judgment process.
• A man shot dead two people at a club in the suburb of Birmingham in Alabama, USA. Just yesterday four people in Pennsylvania were shot dead. Background: elementary school massacre in Newtown, Conn., that killed 26 people, including 20 children.
• The U.S. Congress approved the final version of the Defense Budget Law for 2013, which stands at 633 billion dollars and includes harsher sanctions on Iran and reinforcing security around the U.S. embassy in the world.
• Mario Monti, Italy's prime minister offered his resignation to President Giorgio Napolitano.
Mario is expected to hold a press conference on Sunday where he will announce whether he intends to stand for election to be held on February 24.
• The helicopter of the peacekeeping force of the United Nations in South Sudan was overthrown by the military. UN announced that all four crew members were killed.
• In the Darfur region of Sudan, three international force soldiers to peacekeeping were shot to death by their fellow team. Gunman killed himself after shooting tour.
• Barack Obama, the U.S. president, announced the appointment of John Kerry as Secretary of State instead of Hillary Clinton stepping down after one term.

• Yesterday about 200 people stormed a police station in the village of Sindh province in Pakistan, and burned a man accused of desecrating the Koran. The man was on the road and spent the night in the mosque, and the next day charred remains of a Koran was found. Residents beat the man and he was taken to the police. After hours the angry mob that stormed the station, dragged the suspect out and put it him on fire. Police arrested about 30 people on suspicion of murder and seven policemen suspected of negligence.
