"There is no kollel there," said the avrech, "Open one!" Ordered the Rebbe

"There is no kollel there," said the avrech, "Open one!" Ordered the Rebbe

Despite the fact that in the city of Kiryat Gat already live hundreds of ultra-Orthodox families, who settled in various projects two decades ago, the city has not managed to lift an Orthodox perspective.

A large chassidus, unlike the others, is building a borough, with some buildings already standing tall, and some are at the accelerated construction stage and ready for completion, but the spiritual infrastructure in place is yet to be completed.

Recently an avrech entered the Rebbe's residence and discoursed before him his difficult economic situation: "I have no money to rent an apartment in central cities where the cost is too high, and I do not know where to go to survive the burdensome housing costs."

The Rebbe replied: "Take a new apartment in the Kiryah in Kiryat Gat."

"Where will I study? There is still no kollel there?" The avrech pressed. "Open a kollel and lead it" The Rebbe replied.

The scholar did not stop there and also asked to care for his wife for employment. "What will I do about a workplace for my wife?" But the Rebbe was ready for that, "do not worry, Hashem will summon you a good living."

After this, the avrech took his possessions and belongings and moved to Kiryat Gat, whilst sharing his friends with the orders of the Rebbe. The rumor immediately spread throughout the community. Consequently, some yeshiva students responded to the challenge and decided not to delay, and also move to the city
