Excitement among Vizhnitz proponents worldwide: A mikveh of the Rebbe the Tzemach Tzaddik from Vizhnitz zy"a in his home town of Vizhnitzer was discovered. The report was published in the 'Kesher Eitan' monthly chassidish paper in the latest issue.
Thousands of followers were moved by the startling news that the mikvah which was used by the Tzemach Tzaddik, and his descendants after him, such as the Rebbe Imrei Baruch, Ahvas Yisrael, and the holy sons of the Vizhnitz dynasty, in their home town of Vizhnitzer, which today is under the jurisdiction of Ukraine, was discovered.
The mikveh was discovered in preparation for renovations and preparing the apartment where the Vizhnitzer Rebbes lived, so it can be used as a place of prayer for those visiting the place or residing in the city, near the graves of the holy Rebbes in the city cemetery.
Businessmen, Menachem Mendel Adler from Vizhnitz Monsey U.S. and Pinchas Shain from Vizhnitz Bnei Brak, observed during the work, that there is a lower floor below the room used by the Rebbes. Initially, the gentile who holds the house keys refused to check out what's happening below the surface, but after a series of pleading and persuasion, he agreed to bring the keys.
The two went down with him together using the steps leading to the bottom floor, and when reaching the entrance, there was no limit to their excitement: the elegant mikveh stood before their eyes, and a pool of rainwater, that those who had visited the place for decades had no idea about.
By all indications which were found there, the mikvah was used by the Rebbes themselves. Vizhnitz say, that the Tzemach Tzaddik would immerse in the mikveh a lot, especially when his sofer, Hgh"ch Rabbi Peretz Raphael Walzer of blessed memory, wrote a Sefer Torah for him, and assigned a special room in the holy yard. Before writing the name of Hashem, the Tzemach Tzaddik, followed by the sofer would go down to the mikveh.
Now the businessmen have began preparations as required to renovate the mikvah in its splendor and make it ready for those visiting the graves of the Vizhnitz tzaddikim, along with remodeling the apartment itself.
