The internal war in the Elad Municipality increases, and threatens to move from the municipal level to the country level.
It turns out that while employee board leaders are calling Shas leaders enthusiastically (Yishai's office, Deri's office and Atias's office ...) they are preparing simultaneously for a battle. Warehouses have prepared dozens of activist's signs, microphones, flyers and even tires for lighting. Thus, if there is no last minute change - tomorrow morning the signal will be given, and a huge demonstration will go out to the streets.
Shas, it seems, do not take a risk during an explosive time of pre-election, and they were quick to send the Commissioner of the City of campaign headquarters of the movement, Minister of Religious Affairs Yaakov Margi, to the surface. Today at 17:00 a meeting will take place with him together with employee board leader, Tomer Cohen, "if there are no results – there will be an explosion," promises Cohen.
"We continue to prepare for a demonstration as if there are no peace talks in the background," he says, and reveals that their plan is to escalate the struggle further, and following a local demonstration "to go to Jerusalem and demonstrate in front of the three houses."
Demand of the workers is clear: "that they will promise not to harm their wages." If they do not get what they want, they intend to ensure that hundreds of people in Elad will not vote for Shas.
