"The Haredim will return to their community with their tail between their legs"

The Sderot Conference continues to issue titles, Professor Avi Simchon, a former adviser to Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, now a candidate on the Likud list, presented his views on recruiting the orthodox and their integration in the labor market.

"A Bedouin boy who finishes high school will have open opportunities, however, the orthodox do not learn core curriculum studies – and have no opportunities at all. A child growing up in a neighborhood where orthodox rabbis have control - has no chance of succeeding.

"Plesner Commission's proposal to recruit 22 year old orthodox men with children for NIS 6,000 a month is terrible - the orthodox will leave the army without any qualifications, and return to their community with their tail between their legs."

Simchon was then asked by a 'themarker' reporter about budgeting yeshivas, and said that the Kadima-Avodah government is the one who fully budgeted the yeshivas and that only Likud can act that the yeshivas will not be budgeted like that.
