Popular terrorist squads operating in northern Jerusalem were arrested
Three terrorists from the Shuafat refugee camp and Ras Khamis neighborhood in northern Jerusalem, affiliated with Hamas - have been arrested in recent months • indictments were filed against the defendants

Cleared for publication: In a joint activity of the General Security Service, Israel's Jerusalem District Police and Border Guard, a popular terrorist squad which is affiliated with Hamas, and operated at the Shu'fat refugee camp and in Ras Khamis, north of Jerusalem.
It should be noted that in recent months there has been a sharp increase in the volume of the popular terrorist activity in these areas, including daily activity of throwing stones and petrol bombs at police forces at the Shuafat transition refugee camp, and at the closed checkpoint in Ras Khamis.
In the exposure setting, ISA arrested for interrogation a number of Shuafat refugee camp residents, who were involved in popular terror incidents in the area, some are affiliated with Hamas, including a minor. Central detainees are identified with Hamas and they are: Ahmed Hussam al-Din Imran Tzndoka, 19, who was arrested Twenty-seventh Tishrei, Muhammad Jamal Ahmad Salah, 21, who was arrested 29th Tishrei and Malak Fauzi Omar Mhessen, 21, a former detainee against popular participation in terrorist activities, and was arrested again on 21st Heshvan.
Investigation of detainees by the ISA indicates that the popular terror squad performed a series of stones events and petrol bomb attacks at police, including border post attack event at the Shuafat refugee camp on 28th Elul Tsha"b, while there was a lone police officer, they threw stones at him, firecrackers and petrol bombs.
Indictments were filed against the defendants, among other things, violations of weapons production, aggravated assault, and arson, attempted attack at a police officer, riot, and more.
ISA will continue its current operations to thwart popular terrorist activities in Jerusalem, as part of its purpose to prevent terrorism and sabotage.
