Yahadut Hatorah engaged in conflict: who will run campaign?

The list of United Torah Judaism launches its new offices in Or Yehudah tonight (Sunday).

Seven members on the Knesset list arrived at the event, and with them the Modi'in Illit Mayor Yaakov Guterman and deputy mayor of Jerusalem Yitzhak Pindrus.

Not that it's so unusual: Torah Judaism is accustomed to campaigns that began just before the last minute, what more that this time Likud has also not charged its campaign seriously.

Last Thursday a meeting was held in which representatives of various advertising agencies who arrived at the finish line and are candidates to run the party's campaign.

Among the exhibitors were the advertising agencies Bolton Potential, Effective Results and Bereishit (Moti Koteiner).

In a conversation with a senior member of the party I was told that supposedly Bolton Potential introduced more impressive results.

But 'Results' claim that they were surprised that they were expected to give a slide show and / or presentation. When they were approached, only the day before the meeting, they were told that this is an introduction meeting, they never dreamed that someone would pull out ready and invested material.

Really, 'businesslike'?
Either way, the vertices of Torah Judaism clarify that nothing is finalized yet and that things are still being evaluated. "Everything will be considered substantively they promise.

Behind the scenes, it's no secret, there is controversy (the word battle is too sharp), between the Lithuanian faction and the Hasidic faction, regarding:

While the first would be glad to see the office of Shaya Itzkowitz (Results) running the campaign, the Hasidic faction was interested in Potential.

Officially neither party will admit it, and the official line is that everything will be considered in a businesslike manner.

Arguments in the conference room centered mainly on the distribution of the budget, and less on the subject of the advertising agency, which is more important to the different campaign managers - and less for members of the Knesset. The distribution of the budget - they surely talked.

And yet, at the initiative of the Chairman of the faction, Yisrael Eichler, there was also talk about a more serious issue, the issue of enlistment.

"Every Jewish mother knows that the draft decree of yeshivos and the war against Jewish education lies at her door. If we can not get them to the polls, it will be our negligence and who will pay the penalty for that?
