"Serving Torah and Chinuch to working public". Unique Shabbos pamphlet

A new pamphlet joins the chain of sheets handed out at the various shulls on Shabbos. But this time it's not another stereotypical pamphlet, but the mouthpiece of the organization, "Chelki Be'amali" which comes filled with contents and fascinating information.

At the head of the organization Chelki Be'amali, working under the direction of Hagaon R' Aharon Leib Steinman, is Harav Baruch Zvi Greenbaum. The organization operates a network of Torah classes across the country, for the working Jew who labors for his living and wants to savor words of Torah. In addition, the organization also provides lectures on education and parity.

Classes are not held in shulls, but as classes in private homes designed for small groups throughout the Haredi cities. The group which forms in any place is that which determines the nature of the class, and according to requirements, Chelki Be'amali provide the rabbonim who give them. These rabbonim "know what to speak and how to speak", as the heads of the organization term it.

It should be noted that the organization is completely independent, with no political affiliation. "This is an organization to spread Torah and spirituality net, tailored and suited to the needs of the hareidi working public," its members stress.

Now, it was decided to go public through a Torah-educational pamphlet for the laboring Haredi. The first issue was published last Friday and received great attention.

Current questions in halacha, and even … a Coaching Corner
In a conversation with Behadrey Haredim, editor of the pamphlet, Harav Hanoch Rosenberg, explains its characteristics, aims, and guiding line:

• What actually is your need for this pamphlet ?

"There is a statement to the working public. We want to present you with Torah and education, in a way adapted to the needs and issues that concern you, in the form of "There is Judaism outside the Beis Midrash too". To spread the word of Hashem in all areas of life."

• Tell us, what is the structure of the issue and what does it contain?

"The contents include current events, with some kind of Torah message, accompanying one of the issues that we discussed during the week. We have a saying for the Shabbos table, and starting this week will be added to the saying of the week, a tip which is recommended to implement at the Shabbos table. There are sections dealing with current halachic issues. In the first issue we dealt with the question of what time you can light the Chanukah candles, for those who work late. This week, we plan to deal with the question, can one respond to emails or text messages in a cell phone while working, if they are not related to work, and so on.

"There is also an educational corner, informative section where the reader will get all kinds of information which is not necessarily related to us, news, lectures, guidance to articles and lessons, study material by e-mail, daily lessons in Daf Hayomi for the working public, articles of Jewish thought and study and a women's section."

• Who are the writing team?

"I'm in charge of editing. The halachic corner is edited by Harav Ari Mor from Betar Illit. The educational column is written by Harav Shlomo Baruch Bloi, a well known educational consultant from Ashdod. The weekly story is by a well known author. The philosophy articles are written by various rabbonim, who know the way of life of this sector of the public, and know how to hit their thoughts to their liking., and the women's section is written by Mrs. Naama who is known from the Mishpacha magazine. In upcoming editions we will bring additional tip. We will have a regular corner with personal training recommendations which is called in jargon, Coaching. It's worth the wait. "

"We invite the public to be exposed to the new pamphlet, and hope that through it we will continue to increase and glorify Torah," Rosenberg concludes.
