Anti-religious campaign of the Left - Center: Hit haredim and save the mandates

Parties of the left - center - it seems - have found the key to winning elections: hatred of haredim.

After Yair Lapid has emerged as going in the footsteps of his father and concentrates on preaching against the ultra-Orthodox, Kadima will also focus on the war against haredim.

Kadima held today (Sunday) a survey to select the ads and slogans that might affect voters in the best way.

The party examined ads and slogans attacking the non-enlistment of haredim, using a less familiar angle of the issue: a demand to give soldiers the same conditions granted to yeshiva students.

According to Kadima, students receive 3,400 shekels a month from the state, compared to only 352 shekels which conscripts receive.

Yair Lapid also changed his view of the decline in the polls, and petitioned against the civil service of the haredim. This issue, it seems, is going to be placed in the center of the campaign.

What about Hatnua led by Tzipi Livni?

Headquarters of the Hatnua party party's candidates for the Knesset and chairman, Tzipi Livni, gathered today (Sunday) to present the basics of the movement and roles at the election headquarters.

Chairman, Tzipi Livni, has introduced the principles with which it intends to operate if she is chosen for the next Knesset.


The first was of course the ultra-Orthodox: "Equal burden and service to all will restore the public's confidence in the country," she said, "and will return to the labour market those who dodge the army and work, we will work to reduce the benefits received by those who do not bear the burden."
