Riots in Yitzhar, many fires in apartments in Jerusalem

• A serious incident occurred during Shabbos in Yitzhar: dozens of Arabs from the Einabus village approached the neighborhood of Tekuma within tens of meters away from the neighborhood houses. Residents went out to them and drove them toward the first houses line in the village. At the same time military forces came and scattered the riots whilst making contact. An investigation is being held on the suspicion that Arabs from the village fired during the conflict. In parallel dozens of Arabs rioted and clashed in the village of Urif with the Border Police.
• Two firefighters were called to a fire in an apartment on Mazal Gedi Street in Pisgat Zeev, Jerusalem. Fire fighters entered the apartment on the second floor with a ladder, and scanned it. The fire was in the kitchen – where an unattended pot on the stove was forgotten. No known casualties.
• On Friday night at around 21:00, shots were fired at a vehicle on Yeffet Street in Jaffo, suspects fled the scene riding on a motorbike. So far no suspects have been arrested. An investigation will open.
• A 20 year old was evacuated from the Araba village after being stabbed in a fight, and was taken to Poriah hospital with severe stabbings. The background of the case - family dispute, Misgav police opened an investigation on the incident.
• At 11:04 a report was received concerning an upside down vehicle at the southern entrance to Rahat. MDA paramedics evacuated two women in their 30's from the scene in fair condition – to the trauma unit at Soroka Hospital.
• At 13:46 a report was received on a 60 year old lady who was found lying on Nachal Chava Street in Mitzpe Ramon with head trauma. MDA paramedics of the Negev region gave first aid treatment to the woman, and the woman was taken by MDA helicopter to Soroka Hospital in moderate condition, the background of the event is unclear.
• In the neighborhood of Ain Afiyah in Shefaram: A 25 year-old motorcyclist - was shot in the upper body and was taken to Rambam Hospital in serious condition. Background to the case is not yet known, Shefaram police and Northern District officials are investigating the scene.
• During a football game that took place in the court in the Baana village, in the 3rd league of the North between teams Avlin against Rama, a 30-year-old Avlin player attacked two players of Rama - who suffered minor injuries and were treated on the spot. The player was arrested, the manager who interfered with the police force was detained, and his 30 year old son who tried to release him was also arrested. Two detainees will be brought for a remand hearing in Acco Magistrate's Court.
• In targeted enforcement activities conducted over the weekend by the traffic department against drivers who endanger road users identified 102 drunk drivers, 83 disabled vehicles and 72 driving licenses were rejected.
• Third event this week: MDA staff treated a couple in their 70s from Masada Street in Haifa, after apparently being poisoned by mushrooms which they picked earlier. Casualties were evacuated in moderate condition to the Bnei Zion hospital, with the man suffering from shortness of breath and the woman vomiting.
• At 19:48 it was reported to MDA that a man was stabbed on Agnon Street in Zur Shalom in Kiryat Bialik. MICU team treated a 43-year-old victim and took him in moderate to severe condition to Rambam Hospital with upper body injuries. Circumstances of the incident are not known.
• A Youth Volunteer in MDA -05:45 reported a girl was found lying drunk on the path of Derech Hashalom in Nesher. MICU team treated the 14 year old victim and took her to the hospital unconsciousness in moderate condition to Rambam, and apparently suffering from alcohol poisoning.
• A resident of Kiryat Bialik in his 30's and known to the police arrived at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa stabbed in his upper body and in moderate condition. The suspect refused to cooperate with police. Zevulun station is investigating the incident.
• A resident of the old city in Acco-known to the police arrived at the Nahariya hospital - when he was wounded slightly by gunfire in the leg. Acco Station is investigating the incident.
• A large number of fires in apartments in Jerusalem were recorded during the Friday shift, after fires broke out from chanuka menorahs and different heating methods:
At 13:04 a fire broke out at an apartment on Adoniahu Hacohen Street due to a fire which broke out in the electricity cupboard
At 13:12 a fire broke out on Ausishkin Street due to an electrical sheet
At 16:18 a fire broke out on Edelson Street due to a menorah which was placed incorrectly
At 16:59 a fire broke out on Sorotzkin Street due to a menorah which was placed incorrectly
At 18:51 a fire broke out at an apartment on Hatayasim Street due to a menorah placed on a bedside table and next to a curtain
At 20:11 a fire broke out on Najara Street from a menorah placed on a chair
At 03:18 a fire broke out in a children's bedroom due to a heater placed on a chair in a negligent way
In all fires no causalities were reported but in most cases damage was caused to the apartment due to the smoke and soot.
