How envelope with money lost by Rosh Kollel found?

A well known Rosh Kollel from Jerusalem lost a large sum of money on Thursday – which he was supposed to hand out as a salary to avreichim – in an envelope, in Geula. For hours, he searched for the envelope to no avail.

Yosef Indore who came to Jerusalem from one of the surrounding communities, passed in the neighborhood during that time.

"When I came to the area of Discount Bank, saw an envelope containing a large amount of money in the square," he says to Behadrey Haredim. "I picked up the envelope which had a logo of Bank Yerushalayim on it, went to the side and saw it had a large amount of money, but there were no signs that could indicate who had lost it."

Indor left his personal phone number at one of the nearby stalls, and walked toward the branch of Bank Yerushalayim.

"I told the bank manager the story, and found that the phone number on the envelope indicated that it was taken from the branch located at Keren Hayesod. I left him my number - so that if anyone would inquire about the loss, he could contact me."

Two hours later, the Rosh Kollel arrived at the bank branch in Geula, where he called the finder of the envelope.

"He tried to give me signs but I was afraid at first that maybe it is not him," says Indore. "Later, when he met me in another place – it became clear that the money belonged to him, and he was very happy about that."
