On Thursday Hagr"y Koldetzky, son in law of Hagaon R' Chaim Kanievsky, attended a demonstration held by the Atra Kadisha organization in Jerusalem against the Karso Company.
Tonight (Motzaei Shabbos) in a special clarification - published here for the first time - he explains that he was misled: "I realized that the company is supervised."
As reported in Behadrey Haredim, in a demonstration held next to a real estate project owned by 'Karso', a number of rabbonim took part. Protesters claimed that the company is allegedly desecrating tombs at the Government Compound project in Beersheba.
The keynote speaker at the demonstration was Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Koldetzky, who spoke in praise of Atra Kadisha, and its work. Even the ads released later that brought some things in his name, crowned him president of the organization – "chasana debei nesi'ei" and boasted that they receive his support.
"It was a kind of trial to prove that his father in law – Hagaon R' Chaim Kanievsky – also supports the organization," says a source familiar with the matter.
But tonight the picture changes, with the publication of clarification, that reads: "I realized that Karso Real Estate company in Beersheba is still standing under the supervision of rabbis from Hgr"n Karelitz shlita to solve all the problems that arise in the tombs."
Tomorrow (Sunday) a clarification letter shall be published in some of the dailies.
