Avraham Edery, aged 90, a resident of the town of Netivot who now lives with his daughter in Bet El, has been hospitalized from Motzei Shabbos, at the intensive care unit on the eighth floor at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. His condition is defined as stable, but due to his age he is kept under permanent supervision.
His daughter Rivka Yaffa, with whom he lives, told B'Chadrei Charedim an amazing story:
On Monday morning, when I came to visit my father in the hospital, I went to him after he had not slept the whole night. I asked how he is feeling and he told me calmly: "Baruch Hashem I am okay, it will be good." I was amazed by the relaxation of my father, because when he was admitted he was very - very scared.
Then he tells me: "Last night I came out of the ward, and suddenly an old man came towards me and said to me: 'Do not go out, it is cold outside. Lie on my bed, go back and you will be healthy." He sat next to me all night."
I was shocked and asked him if it was the Baba Sali, of blessed memory, because my father is Moroccan. And he said: "No, it's not the Baba Sali." When my sister came later, she showed him pictures of the old rabbis on the iPod device in her possession, and he recognized immediately, he pointed to the picture of Rabbi Elyashiv.
You need to understand: He did not see him ever. He only heard about in the news, at a time when he was sick.
My cousin, who was there, told us that his wife was hospitalized during the hospitalization of Hgry"sh, and said: "The bed your father is lying on is Hgry"sh's bed." Even the nurse told us that it was the bed of Hgry"sh.
"We tell this amazing story," says Rivka Yaffa, "so people will be strengthened. I want to us the public to pray for the recovery of my father. His name is: Avraham ben Yemneh for a Refuah Shleima."
