The mother of the Weberman case: harassed her in everything

The media in New York continue to report in detail on the case nicknamed 'Weberman affair' - especially after Nechemiah Weberman, a Satmar chasid who worked for three decades in education, in an institution building for girls in need of promote primarily on the spiritual side, was convicted of not less than 59 counts by the jury, and a verdict is expected for at least 25 years in prison.

Now, for the first time since the affair was exposed the mother of the youngster who framed Weberman speaks.

She never told us until it was publicized, "the mother said to the New York Daily News." She never told me, she never told us. We got a call from the police station, I was shocked, and I called my husband and told him to come immediately."

The complainant is her young daughter. "My kids told me I have to believe it," says the mother. "Her childhood was robbed. I have missed a few years with her, I hope she can rise from the case and recover."

She told about her character: "She was not rebellious at all. She was a shy girl, very smart she wanted to know. The principal of the Satmar School could answer her questions, instead of screaming she was heretic. Is she heretic because she asked questions?

The mother said that her husband had called the teacher. "He asked her if she did not know the answer to her questions; tell her she did not know the answers and to come back again the next day after you determine what to answer. The teachers started harassing her. She was telling me, the Principal hates me, I do not know why.

"They came to my house to check if we have a computer with internet. They harassed her about every little thing. My faith is what's helping me through this difficult trial; otherwise I don’t know what I would do.

"General Attorney realized that I and my children cannot stand it, he forbade us to go to court. I do not know if I could stop myself from jumping on Nechemiah Weberman at that moment I saw him."
