A one and a half year old toddler sitting in his stroller was hit by a vehicle on Rabbi Akiva Street Ahiezer corner in Bnei Brak, near the Great Synagogue, while his mother crossed the road on a crosswalk.
The baby was thrown from the stroller, sustained mild to moderate injuries, and was treated on the scene by rescue forces. He was then taken to the hospital with a head injury.
Dovi, a Hatzalah Gush Dan medic, said: "As a result of the car accident the child was hit and was thrown from the stroller to the road. We rushed to the scene and treated the baby who was conscious, but had suffered head trauma. Magen David Adom ambulance evacuated him for further tests and treatment at the hospital."
Meyer, a Hatzalah medic, said: "The mother crossed the road pushing a stroller and toddler. The car hit the stroller which fell over together with the toddler. We provided medical treatment to the baby who was diagnosed with mild head injury. The mother summoned her husband, and he accompanied his baby son to the hospital for further tests.
"One of the things that caught my eye after treating the toddler, was this bottle stuck under the wheel of the vehicle at fault."
