Security Officer of Ma'ale Michmash arrived this afternoon at a Police fire area opposite the Neve Erez neighborhood in Ma'ale Michmash, following the report of a resident of the settlement on a Palestinian tractor driving in the area for a long time.
But whilst delaying the first Palestinians, who was stealing Infrastructure and iron, the Security Officer was saved from a trampling attempt from another Palestinian tractor which arrived on the scene.
According to the reports, he told the Tatzpit agency: "I caught the tractor whilst trying to escape and I called the army and police. After the tractor stopped, the driver could not start, and in the meantime another Palestinian arrived - also on a tractor - to tow him. I stopped him from towing him, and the other driver tried to run me over. I managed to escape the last second and he ran away.
"I detained the first driver until the arrival of the police – who also detained him, but then he was released. This is despite the fact that close to the police the Palestinian tried to confront the security officers of Mitzpe Hagit and Alon".
Later on the Security Officer victim turned to Benjamin Gate police station, where he filed a complaint against the driver who stole infrastructure, and against the other driver who tried to run him over.
A Border Police Agency told Tatzpit: "Theft from fire areas are a common occurrence throughout the country, not only in Judea and Samaria, however we are doing what we can to prevent and arrest any sources which are involved."
