Haredi woman prosecutes representative from Tnuva: 100 million shekels

Ruth Colian, an Orthodox 31 year old, married mother of four, claims by attorney Hani Tannous the Tnuva Company, by no less than 100 million shekels.

"Some of the abuse stems from the poor structure at the slaughterhouse: problems in the structure lead to unbearable overcrowding in the waiting area and the resistance of the animals to move in the passages - resistance that increases the violence of staff, non skilled in itself. A portion of abuse stems from managers improper lack of training and lack of skill and insensitivity of all those involved in taking care of the animals, "said the report.

Erez Wolf, CEO of Red Red, commented: "Following an investigation of Kolbotek we want to unequivocally say that we condemn this behavior and shun it, and it does not represent us as a society. Rude behavior, as shown in the video, is irregular to all our procedures. When the details became known to us we have taken a number of steps immediately: Project Director is retiring from office with his agreement, and the work of all employees of the contracting company involved in the case was suspended immediately. In addition, these days we have cameras in the work area in question, to increase supervision and control. All workers, including employees of 'Red Red' and contractors employees, are having refresher training and procedures, including proper attention and proper treatment of animals.


"We repeat and declare: an employee who goes against these procedures will not remain with the company. In the same way we make sure that the quality of our products is highest, and is to the satisfaction and the desire of our customers, so we'll make sure such conduct does not happen again."
