Rift between Degel and Agudah: "Without rotation in sixth place - all agreements will be canceled"
Initial release • Eight committee of Agudath Yisrael decided to postpone a decision on the rotation delegate of 'Degel HaTorah, stationed in seventh place

The eight committee, that convened today at the office of Rabbi Chanoch Zeibert at the Bnei Brak municipality office, did not reach any conclusive agreements regarding rotation required in the event that Yahadut Hatorah reaches 6 mandates.
The final decision (or indecision): Postpone the issue until after the election. A letter was also issued to MK Moshe Gafni with clarification that the rotation agreement will be discussed only when becoming relevant.
Degel responded angrily to the letter: "I have always honored the 40:60 agreement, although it has no writing in reference, there is no questions about it," said a source, "and suddenly Agudath Yisrael comes and try to open the subject to negotiations . For what purpose? "We find it hard to understand."
Agudath Yisrael, of course, tries to point the direction of the new party Netzach, as the one who is disturbing the achievement.
Degel mocks: "We're talking about a case that we take six mandates, i.e., there is no effect by non-serious party opposite us. So what are they talking about? Have they solved their internal problems?"
It is no secret that within Shlomi Emunim there is no shortage of small chassidish courts that are not really enthusiastic to vote. If they vote – not necessarily Degel.
A Netzach spokesman even said today in an interview with B'Chadrei Charedim that some of those chassidish courts have been promised their support. This included Harm"m Vizhnitz who have not always voted Agudath Yisrael and there is no reason to do so now. "Let them solve their own problems first, then let them come to us," they say.
Will Belze give up again?
In a letter transferred to Agudah, Degel warns: if the agreement between Degel and Agudah is breeched, all agreements between the two parties will reopen.
This means, among other things, that mayor of Bnei Brak will be given on a silver platter to the hands of representative number three on the list, Rabbi Yaakov Asher.
The other agreements (Rehovot, Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem, Beitar Illit, etc.) will be opened for discussion again. "And we are not the ones who will lose because of all this," clarified unofficial sources in Degel.
"Who knows," say the cynics, "Perhaps Yaakov Asher's advisors transformed everything to get him in like a king for another term and continue making revolutions at the Bnei Brak municipality. It is obviously preferable to being 'another chair' at the Knesset."
Will chairman of Agudath Ysrael, Yaakov Litzman, allow the split described above? Will he order the delegates of the operation to insist 'to the very end'? - It is hard to not believe that Litzman will not understand a simple calculation of the loss against wages.
Moreover, you can always roll the rotation to the doorstep of Belze, those battered for no reason and those who always require painful concessions. There is no way that Ger will want to lose the mayor of Bnei Brak just to just to make sure there is an MK belonging to another chassidus, even though she was the one that manages the movement and has first place in Agudath Yisrael.
"Belze entered last, and must pay the price of the link between 'then' to 'Degel'," some say. It is understood that until a serious and professional census takes place no changes will be conducted.
In the background one instruction by the Belzer Rebbe not to get involved in any dispute with anyone in Yahadut Hatorah, so it is very possibly he will give an order to his representative, Yisrael Eichler, to declare another concession to a two-year rotation to number seven on the list - Asher.
