A video published today by Yeshiva Aish HaTorah, on the internet gained popularity. In the video an American who lives in Jerusalem and is in preparation for birth appears. The woman dials her husband and asks him to come home. "It's time," she says.
The actor who plays her husband, a professional roller blade rider, promises to be home in three minutes, although the distance from the entrance to the city - where he is at the moment - and the house is 15 minutes.
Video viewers at first think that the woman is giving birth, but minutes later - it turns out, when the husband appears in the doorway, the woman called her husband to make it in time to light the Channukka candles according to the law.
"Our goal is to reach more and more Jews who do not have any connection to religion, to learn through a video, one which did not exist before," says Rabbi Nechemiah Kupsrsmith from the Aish HaTorah Yeshiva to B'Chadrei Charedim. "People around the world have viewed the video and were impressed by it, and through this they will also receive a positive message."
Rabbi Kupersmith is hopeful that through the video, many surfers will check out the Yeshiva's website. "This site is full of content related to Judaism, among other matters of marriage, holidays, Israel and more. Our goal is that more and more people will learn a little something."
The video itself ends with the caption: "There are important things not worth missing."
