Chananya, a resident of Jerusalem, was walking yesterday morning (Monday) near the Discount Bank on Kanfei Nesharim Street. On the way an envelope containing $ 15,000 fell from his hand, earmarked for a religious couple, who married a short time earlier.
His first public appeal for his loss was performed using the B'Chadrei Charedim forum. In the appeal browsers were requested to contact him, if they found the envelope.
In a conversation with the loss owner, he says: "I was close to the bank to deposit a certain amount of money. When I took out the money, the envelope probably fell."
Chananya said that he borrowed the lost money from a Gemach - for an orthodox couple, who married a short time earlier. "I promised to get them a sum of 20 thousand dollars, so that the wedding will take place. The money was supposed to finance an apartment, and now it's gone."
He expressed hope that whoever finds the envelope "will be a Yirai Shamayim, who will overcome his attempt and will return the loss."
Up until now Chananya has received phone calls from people sympathizing with him. "I have signs, the envelope was special, and the money was placed in a way that I can give signs, as well as the exact amount in the envelope."
