Women's organizations begin a fight against the ultra-Orthodox parties, because of the exclusion of women on their lists.
In the appeal to the Central Elections Committee organizations, they argued that Shas and Yahadut Hatorah parties are going against the Basic Law of the Knesset, in that they exclude women, and therefore disqualify from running in the elections.
Central Election Commission said that the request was received and forwarded to the committee chairman, Judge Eliakim Rubinstein.
It is noteworthy to state that in similar cases in the past, Rubinstein stated that the committee will not discuss the issue of prevention of parties running before submitting the lists, which will be held on Thursday.
