he struggle which recently began to gain momentum in the streets and haredi neighborhoods against the desecration of graves being conducted under the auspices of the 'Atra Kadisha, excavations at the Nesher site, located near Ramla – have taken a turn for the worse.

If protesters, members of the association for the prevention of desecration of graves were satisfied until this week with ads distributed on panels across the cities, as well as through speakers calling upon the public to protest against the excavation of the site - now, given the response of Atra Kadisha yesterday in a poster distributed on their behalf, confirming that they will oversee the excavations at Nesher – the protest will worsen.

One of the activists says that last night's a work session by the professional team took place, and organized a protest against the desecration of graves at Nesher. "We're sitting in the last few weeks with representatives of Torah Sages, together with lawyers, public workers and archaeologists - and all the clear and sharp evidence which we have from the past few weeks indicates that there is a continuation of digging of the graves of ancestors constantly. Unequivocally the Nesher site became the most desecrated cemetery in Jewish history."

The activist says, that contrary to reports out this week from the 'Atra Kadisha, in which the Nesher excavations are carried out under the supervision and with the support of rabbis, he says, is a lie. "Beyond letters already published - by Reb Moshe Sternbuch, who said it is clearly and unequivocally forbidden to dig at Nesher, we have tapes and protocols, witnesses and images, which prove that further excavations at the Nesher site is done by twisting facts and misleading rendering rabbis."

"Rallies against financing of the the activities of Atra Kadisha"

In a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim an activist reveals, that the struggle has just begun. "We held a demonstration at the site and in front of the homes homes of 'Atra Kadisha members, who are enabling the continuation of the excavations. Instead of fighting against excavation of the Nesher site, they harass contractors and entrepreneurs at other sites and graves, so to speak, to justify their existence."

The activist notes the Karso site in Beer Sheva as an example, as well as sites in Beit Shemesh, which became 'victims', as he puts it, all as a cover up at what is happening at Nesher. "We have finished with it. There is a limit. We have gone out to war that would last a while, and we will not stop until they stop digging at Nesher.

"In the next few weeks leading rabbis will publish a single message to join the fight. We will hold rallies in several locations in Israel and abroad, across communities which are financing the deafening Atra Kadisha activity of the greatest grave destruction in history - not in Germany or France - but in Ramla."

The activist says further that the organizers have received to date phone calls from different communities interested in joining the fight, due to the generated public having been exposed to the affair in the past two weeks, concerning the struggle taking place in the Orthodox streets.

"The community members identified with the Atra Kadisha, as well as women of yeshiva students arrested while demonstrating on sites that do not have bones – were horrified that their husbands and children were sent out to the struggles and arrested in order to cover the events at Nesher.

"The public is going to be shocked in the next two weeks by the enormous scope of the scandal of the desecration of graves there. Every day bones are removed from the graves in boxes, and everyone is silent. How could that be? ... We will no longer be silent and we will not stop until they stop the excavation site. Gedolei Torah backs our steps. "
