Moments after the children left – the car went up on fire

A miracle occurred this morning to Naftali Rothenberg, director of Hatzalah Union Carmel branch, when his car caught fire and completely burned - shortly after dropping his children off at school.

Rothenberg parked in the driveway on Rose Lane in Kiryat Ata, went out with the children on their way to school, and then – the car went up on fire.

Rothenberg rushed to remove his First Aid kit and medical equipment and medical information, but all of his own equipment went up in flames in the burning vehicle and are essentially gone.

Firefighting crew arrived and prevented the spread of the fire. Preliminary examination indicates that the electrical failure occurred in a relatively new car.

Rothenberg explains: "I have no doubt that this is a miracle and I thank Hashem that no one was in the car. What really bothered me was the fact that after the incident while seven firefighters were extinguishing the fire, I received a call from Hatzalah concerning a traffic accident- on the road bypass of Krayot, and I could not go out and treat the wounded."
