Cat and housewife struggle over the graves • Poster war over the Nesher compound

The Nesher excavation area - close to Ramla, is pulling a fire on the part of graves organizations. A persistent struggle - with demonstrations, posters, and other detainees - is taking place. The main battle raged between the two organizations, whose role is to fight against desecration of graves in Israel.

This time the 'Association to prevent the desecration of graves' claims there is desecration of graves there, although, Atra Kadisha, the older organization, claims to have professional supervision at the compound, preventing any such concern. But recently, select members of the association, chose to go out to campaign which is designed to bring attention of the public to the desecration of graves in question.

As a first step the Association hung a sign near the excavation site, so that thousands of vehicles passing the site will be exposed to the problem, in addition to a demonstration held last week under the house of the president of the rival organization, Rabbi David Shmidel, and posters scattered throughout the country under the title: "desecration of graves at Nesher".

The Atra Kadisha is familiar with these methods and they responded today (Sunday) with a posters war, as only they know.

Under the title, "The cat and the housewife", they presented their version of the battle.

"Both are chasing the mouse, but there is still a huge difference between them", the poster describes the famous parable. "The housewife is chasing him because she is not interested in it, while the cat chases him because he wants him ... to ease his hunger."

Members of Atra Kadisha, do not forget to send a jab to the Association, "an oiled and well paid for campaign starting now against the Nesher excavation site near Ramle. Awareness of all kinds of colors and sizes are published in the streets and bulletins of all kinds, screaming 'gevalt' at the desecration of graves at the Nesher compound, and silence of the fanatics' on what is happening there."

According to sources of Atra: "During Sukkos, Rab"d, Reb Moshe Sternbuch, went to the Av Beit Din, Hgri"t Weiss, and persuaded him to convene the Badatz in full to discuss the matter.

"Indeed, immediately after Sukkos, a hearing was held and all concerned participated, the 'Atra Kadisha, on the one hand and on the other members of the Association. Beforehand Rabbi David Shmidel went up to Ra'abd and asked him that if gives a permit to keep digging - not to publish it in writing, since it might endanger other places. "The discussion lasted for two hours and according to the 'Atra' a permit was issued at the end that you can continue the excavations.

And this is where the juicy parable comes in: "If the goal of the cats screaming about what is happening at the Nesher compound to stop the 'crime', why do they not do what the ultra orthodox are known to do in cases of desecration of graves, just go to the scene, absorb blows by police and reappear the next day again and again."

The Association to prevent desecration of graves commented: "After two years of struggle against the Nesher gravediggers, there is a real confession of those who dig. Rabbi Moshe Shaul Klein sent a letter to Rabbi David Shmidel 'why are you digging? And the above answer: It's not us, it is Mendel Ekstein. When Eckstein was asked he replied: It is not me it is Rabbi David Shmidel, and anyone can understand who is lying. "
