A new controlling shareholder in Partner: Chaim Saban

An agreement was signed in Hong Kong on Friday night for the transfer of the control of 'Partner' which belongs to date to Ilan Ben Dov, who holds 44.54% ownership of the company by Skylax (69.32 million shares).

Obligations of Skylax, flew up to almost 3 billion shekels, and they have become much more problematic with decreasing performance of Partner.

According to the deal, Saban will purchase through a dedicated corporation 30.73% of shares (47.8 million), together with the control of the company. Skylax will remain with two directors of the company and the right of making decisions. However, the role of chairman will be passed from Ilan Ben-Dov to Shlomo Rodav – former bank chairman.

The transaction will only be completed in a few months, following the approval of the Ministry of Communications, the company's bondholders and the Authority.

The exact agreements between the parties were not disclosed, but what is known is that Saban assumed the significant share of Skylax debt, apart from the considerable amount of cash flow to the company coffers.
