Dr. Gabi Zohar, advisor to the Ministry of Social Affairs, states that one should determine the Taliban cult as a dangerous cult outlaw it, according to the Ynet news website report.
Dr. Gabi Zohar recommends to the welfare authorities to fight the group under new laws and regulations.
According to Dr. Zohar, "The Shawl women live under a stiff regime, as if brainwashed and do not control their bodies and souls, and no doubt that if it wasn't an orthodox religious community, led by rabbinic religious foundations, it would have been defined a cult without delay."
He added that "many of the girls transferred to their education are girls who have had personal and family distress and were exposed to psychological difficulties and this fact is exploited by the leaders of the sect."
According to estimates this group has several thousand women living in Mea Shearim and Beit Shemesh.
Dr. Zohar, was a member of a special committee formulated by the Ministry of Social Affairs last year who formulated a report on cults in Israel.
