Tzeddaka Gabbai of Komemyut: Rabbi Shlomo Danziger z"l

Baruch Dayan Haemes: At the age of 97, the elderly tzeddaka gabbai of Komemyut, Rabbi Shlomo Danziger z"l, a senior Satmar chassid passed away on Shabbos in Bnei Brak.

The deceased was born in Hungrary in the year תרע"ו, to his late father Reb Shmuel Binyamin Danziger z"l. He immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and founded his home at the orthodox settlement of Komemyut, he was one of its founders.

He was close to his Rebbe, the 'Divrei Yoel' from Satmar zt"l. Whilst living at the moshav he took upon himself the role of patron and gabbai of the Talmud Torah in Komemyut, which did not take money from the government. For more than fifty years he would go from one shul to another and from one simcha hall to another and collected money for the Talmud Torah in Komemyut.

During the last years, he was confined to a wheelchair, and he requested from his family members to take him to collect money for the Talmud Torah.

He left after him a large family, four sons, five son in laws and about one thousand descendants. His son in laws include: Reb Meir Weiss from Vizhnitz, Reb Zvi Weiss from Seret Vizhnitz, Reb Shimon Heiss from Bnei Brak, Reb Buksbaum from Dizhkov-Vozhnitz, Reb Binett from Shomrei Emunim (Ashdod).

The levaya left yesterday (Motzei Shabbos) from the home of his son in law on 7 Ahavat Shalom Street, Kiryat Vizhnitz, Bnei Brak, passing by the 'Panim Meirot' Beis Medrash of Satmar to Har Hamenuchos-Tamir in Jerusalem, where he was laid to rest.
