Chevron Yeshiva: Chanuka vacation cancelled due to army recruitment decree
During Seuda Shlishit at Chevron-Givat Mordechei, Hgr"d Cohen-the Rosh Yeshiva announced: "The army does not need the haredim. They just want you to forget the Torah". "Due to the decree-vacation is cancelled"

During Seuda Shlishit which took place at the Chevron-Givat Mordechei Yeshiva dining room, the Rosh Yeshiva gave a speech during which he proclaimed: "Chanuka vacation is cancelled".
The Rosh Yeshiva reminded in his speech the dangers of recruitment of the yeshiva students, which is hovering since the Tal Law was cancelled. In his speech he said: "The army does not need the haredim, the proof is that they agree that social service is carried out. The reason they keep bringing this up-is because they want you to forget the Torah."
Then he determined: "Since this is so close to our hearts, due to the decree-Chanuka vacation will be canceled."
In the yeshiva world it is custom to go out for a few days of vacation, usually a day or two before Shabbos towards the end of Chanuka.
Hgr"d Cohen gives a speech to the yeshiva students, every second Shabbos-when his associate Rosh Yeshiva, Hgrm"m Farbstein doesn’t give a shiur.
