Startling statistic: one thousand devices slip from their cargo each year

This afternoon an accident took place on Highway 6: A truck loaded with iron bars hit a bus, the cargo fell off the truck - and hit the bus. As a result the soldier Ronni Chalabi (19) from Carmel was killed, and 14 other passengers were injured, including seriously injured.

An initial investigation found that the bus got stuck on the right hand route, and the truck driver, who was traveling behind him, was not able to stop quickly enough. Instead, he veered left, trying not to hit the bus and during the sudden turn the truck carrying cargo hit the bus.

Data from the "green light" indicates that thousand devices slip annually from the truck leading the cargo. Further examination shows that every fifth vehicle carrying cargo does so dangerously and improperly - about 20% of vehicles.

In total the 'Amen' company checked 700 vehicles bringing cargo and 144 of them were defined as normal. That is, each fifth vehicle that carries cargo does it in a way that endangers him and the rest of the road passengers.

On Friday 6th Elul 2012 Mordechei Zev Diskin aged 26 from Katamon was severely injured in the tunnel roads, when a sofa slipped from a vehicle and caused a fatal collision between three cars.
