After that the defense system has completed the first interception system test of the "magic wand", the Ministry of Defense published this evening (Tuesday), a video documenting the course of the experiment, step by step.

The experiment was carried out by 'Choma' administration which operates as part of the Director for Research, Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure (MOD) of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, together with the U.S. Agency U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense (mda).

This is the first systematic test system developed for the Ministry of Defense by 'Raphael', and the U.S. company Raytheon.
The experimental data will allow the continued development of the 'magic wand', and the continued development experiments needed to ripen the operational system in the future.

The "magic wand" is intended to provide another layer of protection against missiles of short and medium term, allowing condensation to protect Israel from the threat of missiles and rockets.

It is expected to become integrate along with "Iron Dome" batteries, Patriot and Arrow. "This system is the future air defense system, capable of intercepting surface - land and rockets land - land layer medium to low, cruise missiles and tools - Aircraft, ranges that can protect all of Israel.
