The orthodox media likes to place crowns of evil on the Yeshiva Department Director of the Ministry of Education, Amos Tzayeda. But today (Tuesday) it was proven that the man - dubbed 'Amos the Hunter' - wants to get to know the problems of the Kollel's and Yeshiva's, and bring them to a proper solution.
Tomorrow the first meeting of its kind will take place, during which Tzayeda will visit kollels in the city of Modi'in Illit. During his tour he will also visit the home of Hagr"a Finkel, the Mir Roshe Yeshiva.
After the tour Tzayeda will hold a Rosh Kollel Conference. In the meeting - which will include 50 Roshei Kollel - they can question and discuss the ministry's rigid attitude towards religious institutions in order to create a bridge and a desire to solve problems as much as possible.
The conference was initiated by a local real estate businessman Nathan Rosenblatt, vice mayor of Modi'in Illit, Yaakov Wallenstein, and with the help and mediation of Nathan Sternhell an associate of Tzayeda who has done a lot concerning the Yeshiva world.
According to the organizers, due to last minute planning there was not enough time to make contact with all the Roshei Kollel and Yeshiva in the area, but whoever wants to participate can do so at the conference and is invited to contact the organizers.
