Likud right-wing makeover: official results released after the elections today (Monday), shows that the ministers Benny Begin, Dan Meridor, Michael Eitan and Avi Dichter will not be in the next Knesset. Moshe Feiglin is inside.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the composition of the list and said, "It has been shown that the Likud party is the people's party." Prime Ministers turned to the ministers who were eliminated: "I want you by my side in the next government."

According to the results, Gideon Saar came first, before ministers Gilad Arden and Silvan Shalom. Then: Yisrael Katz, Danny Danon, Reuven Rivlin, Moshe Ya'alon, Zeev Elkin, Yariv Levin and Yuli Edelstein.

The second top ten: Chaim Katz, Tzipi Hotovely, Miri Regev, Moshe Feiglin and Yuval Steinitz.

16th place is Zachi Hangebi and following him, Limor Livnat, Ofir Akunis and Gila Gamliel. Carmel Hacohen Shama-closes the second top ten list.

The big winner Gideon Sa'ar said, "Anyone who claims that the list is hawkish thinks that most people are on the left-wing and that is not connected to reality."

As for the entry of Feiglin into the list he said that "Olmert is a much more dangerous person than Feiglin, a combat unit officer who was prosecuted on ideological background and that was wrong, but his vision and of many others is much more controlled."

MK Miri Regev, who won 13th place in the elections, praised the list composition and that "this team will maintain the land of Israel. This is the list that Likud chose, the public has spoken and that's what matters."

Weak voting

At 10:00 this evening the vote of the Likud primaries ended.

The vote was postponed after the Likud's election commission decided to extend the voting time in the Judea and Samaria ballots which were the only ones which opened today.

Today's turnout was only about 5.4% of the vote - and the overall turnout in the primaries is 57%, or about -70,216 voters.

Weak presence was observed today at the polls and in some cities only 20 people came to vote at the polls.

Due to minority voters, candidates tried today to stimulate active and functioning through visits at the polls.

Knesset members said yesterday that examination turnout showed that there are places like Yokneam, Nahariya, Beit Shean and other cities where hardly any voting took place.
