Shmulik Scharf who's wife Mira hy"d was killed and he and his three children were wounded by a missile which hit their home in Har Chabad, Kiryat Malachi during the 'Pillar of Defense' military operation, was released today (Monday) from Tel Hashomer hospital, 12 days after he was hospitalized.
Scharf went through tests and treatment; he also had brain surgery during his hospitalization. His children with more moderate wounds were released from hospital on Friday.
Scharf is standing before a long physical and emotional rehabilitation. He will spend the upcoming period at his parent's home in Beitar Illit, together with his three children, who are forced to get used to the new reality: Their mother is no longer alive.

"We didn’t think we would get through these days", he says during a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim. "We had faith in Hashem and we are already leaving the hospital. I believe that everything will be okay."
And what about the children?
"The children already understand what happened, and that their mother hy"d was killed by a missile which hit our home."
