Terrorist shot dead by IDF in Eshkol settlement

A terrorist who broke into a home was shot on Monday morning to death by an IDF force in Moshav Sdei Avraham in the Eshkol Region, after he allegedly attacked a local resident. Investigation revealed that the man broke into a private residence and fled after the resident discovered him, he attacked her with a sharp object and lightly wounded her.

The woman called the emergency squad of the settlement, and together with an army patrol which was called to the Moshav from the area which is close to the border, and due to the high alert in the area, a chase began after the man, during which a procedure of apprehending a suspect was performed, and when he continued to approach them and even endanger them – they fired at him and he was hit and killed.

Ronit Minker, Eshkol district spokeswoman, said the incident occurred "at about 4:00am. A person entered Moshav Sdei Avraham and attacked one of the residents who struggled with him and chased him out. She was slightly wounded in her face and shoulder and was treated at the scene. The suspect fled and was killed by IDF forces".

Initially the IDF treated the incident as criminal, but later determined that it had a nationalist background, after he tried to attack Israeli soldiers as well.
