Terror in depths. Bin Laden's body dropped into sea waters

The body of the leader of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden was washed and wrapped in a shrouds, and then secretly thrown into the sea by American aircraft carrier on May 2, 2011, without the knowledge of the sailors on board.

These intriguing facts were revealed this morning (Thursday) by AP news agency based on an e-mail correspondence.

The terrorist leader's body was moved secretly by helicopter to the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson which docked in the Arabian Sea. According to the public relations department of the U.S. Navy, less than ten officers were aware that the body had been on the aircraft carrier and dumped from it. Some of the information had been published last year, but this is the first time which revealed how few people were involved in the secret procedure.

An email which was sent to Admiral Charles Guette, who at the time served as commander of the U.S. Fifth Fleet, indicates that he corresponded with his colleague regarding the body, using different code words. "Any news of our package?" Guette asks Admiral Samuel Perez, who commanded the group of aircraft carriers in the Arabian Sea, headed by the ship Carl Vinson.

Perez answered with code words: "Fed-Ex transferred the package. Both trucks are making their way to their bases safely." Apparently, the 'two trucks' are two helicopters which took off from Pakistan, and landed on the aircraft carrier. One helicopter apparently carried the body, and the other was carrying the commandos.

Another email sent by Guette said: "Traditional Muslim burial proceedings were taken (...) the deceased's body was washed and placed in a white sheet. A military officer read prepared religious words which were translated by a native Arabic speaker." Later, the mail stated that the body was placed on a flat board, flung down, so that the body would slip into the sea. No one knows where the aircraft carrier sailed at the same time.

According to AP, to this day the Pentagon has not issued a death certificate for Osama bin Laden, or issued a DNA test result which would confirm that the body thrown into the sea indeed belonged to the leader of al - Qaeda. In addition, there is no record of the Pentagon in the days before the raid on the estate of Ben - Laden, which dealt with different possibilities for the burial of the body.
