A 9 year old boy drowned this morning in a private pool on Breuer Street in Bnei Brak.
The lifeguard pulled him out of the water, and Hatzalah Gush Dan and Hatzalah medics gave him primary health care. The child was taken to the Maaynei Hayeshua hospital in the city.
Shlomo Weissfish, a Hatzalah Gush Dan medic, said: "We received a call about a drowning on the street near where I live. I reached the place within half a minute, and found a conscious child after drowning. The child indeed lost consciousness at first briefly - but he returned to himself and his condition is defined as stable. After tests carried out, MDA team took him for further treatment and tests at the hospital."
Yechiel Miller, a Htazalah medic, said:" He was lying for a long time at the bottom of the pool – they thought he was diving but when he did not come out of the water the paramedics were called, I and other medics helped the lifeguard pull him from the water and we gave him primary health care, after his condition stabled he was taken for further treatment at the Maaynei Hayeshua hospital."
