Caracas: protesters turned off yesterday, fireworks inside a synagogue in protest against Israel.
Despite the ceasefire demonstrations were held yesterday in Caracas the capital of Venezuela, a group of about fifty people against Israel in protest against the Gaza operation.
The protesters chose to demonstrate in front of the main synagogue of the Jewish community.
They chanted slogans against Israel and against Jews and sent off fireworks inside a synagogue, causing panic to those inside.
United Jewish Communities of Venezuela expressed concern about the growing anti-Semitism in the country and called on President Hugo Chavez to take steps to protect the community.
